The Blues

At the end of the 19 century, the generic musical form (the Blues) originated by African Americans (in Deep South on the United States). Blues songs incorporate spirituals shouts and chants that are emotional, and ongoing field hollers. Famous singers Ma Rainey (1886-1939), William Christopher Handy (1873-1958), and B.B. King ( 1925-2015)emotionally sang about their various heart aches and disappointments.

The Blues are reality; yet, how do we handle and overcome painful circumstances?

The Sword of The Spirit, God’s word helps us to endure, and overcome our trials and tribulations.

Tomorrow, before challenges arrive within your daily schedule

Meditate on God’s Words below

  1. The Lord will give you rest when you feel tired- “come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest” (Matthew 11:28-29).
  2. The Lord will give you strength when you feel like you cannot go on- “Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard? The Lord is the everlasting God; he created all the world. He never grows tired or weary. No one understands his thoughts. He strengthens those who are weak and tired” (Isaiah 40: 28-29).
  3. The Lord will give you peace when you feel and anxiety attack coming on- “the peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the body” (Colossians 3:15).

Remember in Christ you can do all things
