Spiritual Cancer: A Family Killer

When we hear the word cancer, immediately we think of death. This negative thought bring the questions of how long do I have to live. The person and their family members engage in emotional imbalances at the thought of their love one dying. Finally, the person who has been diagnosis with cancer thinks who will take care of my loved ones when I am gone.

What are the affects of spiritual cancer?

Let us define spiritual cancer. Spiritual cancer can be viewed as a silent killer within one’s soul and relationships. This is where you allow your self-will to control your daily choices.  You walk by sight and not by faith. You refuse to admit and accept responsibility for wrong choices. Bottom line, you are determine to do it your way versus God’s way.

  • Unhealthy Competition.
  • Isolation.
  • Guilt trips.
  • Embarrassment.
  • Division.
  • Bitterness.
  • Unforgiveness.

Prevention: Family Caner

  • Walking in love.
  • Serving in love.
  • Sharing in love.
  • Speaking in love.
  • Giving in love.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8 NIV).
