Pet Power

Pets are considered “men’s best friends”. As children of God, we need to clarify a pet’s friendship. We have several types of friendships that can glorify God when in their rightful places. Our pets’ friendships are a blessing when we visually and physically engage in these friendships when our therapeutic pet friendships brings both parties (ourselves and pets) happiness. This relationship detours us from depression, decreases feelings of loneliness and isolation through companionship. Also our interactions with the animal of our choice reduces boredom and anxiety and assist our children with learning empathic.
We should not confuse pet relationships with our human interactions. Dealing with personal and professional relationships helps us to verbally communicate, serve others in love, and engage in ongoing self-evaluations in the areas of walking in humility, ego check, and soul care. Our intermit relationship with God gives us the spiritual antidote needed to maintain our pet and human relationship within our lifestyles.
“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love” (2 Peter 1: 5-7).
