Happy New Year

This is a day we have never seen before, and will never see it again. As we ponder over the words Happy New Year, we must pause and be thankful and grateful for a new day which permits us another chance to glorify God by serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, others and selves through our lifestyle choices. This new moment, permits us to decide on whose army we will march in. Each breath of life, has been freely given to us to breathe in clean air, permit the air to circulate within our bodies in a way that produces healthy lifestyle choices, wellbeing towards others, and wholistic balance, spirit, soul, and body.
Declaring Happy New Year to self and others, commands us to live each day as if it was our last. It commands us to glorify God through our food choices, word selections, thought meditations, and physical appearances.
Happy New Year’s proclamation reminds us to let old negative acquaintances be forgotten, to release old wounds, health issues, and financial decisions that caused us to be either bitter, physically sick, or mentally and emotionally drained.
Happy New Year reminds us that our days interactions should not be rooted upon feelings of happiness or sadness, based on prosperity or lack of income, or good or bad relationships. On the other hand, Happy New Year’s expression is received knowing that we are walking, talking, and living under God’s mercy and grace.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19).
