Blockers: Comfort Zone

Sometimes we hear ourselves and others say that we are bored. We feel stagnant. We are tired of doing the same old, same old things. So, what do we do to initiate change? We tell ourselves we are going to “quick fix it “purchase books. We attend seminars and lectures. We spend money on scams to help us to try something different.
STOP
This has never transformed us out of our comfort zones. We need to recognize and overcome the following mindset that keeps us stuck:
• We need to recognize our blind spots. Let us find the thought pattern that stops us from using our God given-brain to glorify God by stepping out of our comfort zone.
• We must let go the desire and need to remain within our comfort zone. We have to accept the fact that change will be uncomfortable. We must make it a habit to proclaim God’s Word that says, “I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:14 NKV).
• Overcoming the desire for instant gratification. We must operate within the fruit of the spirits of patient and self-control.
