Bereavement: A Process

It is difficult to work through the grieving process; therefore, it is not uncommon for you to get stuck in the process. Mourning takes times. Take the time to go through the process with God’s help. There are times where you might encounter emotional blocks. When this occur, you might focus on your anger, denial bargaining,  depression or experience uncontrollable tearfulness. Go with the flow.

Through prayer, belief in God’s word, faith in God’s love, education, bereavement counseling, or support groups can help you regain your sense of balance and carry on with your life.

Remember bereavement is a process.

” For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a  lifetime; weeping my stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5 NIV).

“Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come. Why should my heart feel lonely, and long for heav’n and home. When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He: His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me” (lyrics by Civilla D. Martin 1905).
