Be Still

Each day brings about an agenda that keeps us on the go. We have bills to pay, people to see, and places to go. By the end of the day we are exhausted, aggravated, and praying to get home safely. We never take the time to just be still, rejuvenate, and breathe. During the quiet time we can hear and be receptive of God’s guidance. This still time can prevent us from engaging in unproductive chores, social events, and shopping sprees. Being still does not hinder our daily success, on the other hand if energizes us to go forth and be productive, successful, and significant within our personal and professional lifestyles.
Let us just take a moment to breathe in God’s goodness, mercy and grace. Let us exhale self-made agenda, other people’s expectations for and of our lifestyles. Let us moved forward in a confident and reassurance that we can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength, time, talents, and resources to accomplish our dreams, desires and goals.
“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalms 46:10).
