Bad and Good Side Effects: Being Selfish

Bad and Good Side Effects: Being Selfish

We all need to spend some time along with ourselves. What are the disadvantages and advantages of being selfish?

Bad Side Effects:

Immoral behavior, since our concern is all about us.

Walk in self-pride, which eliminate the desire to serve others.

Eliminate the possibilities of unity and peace among co-workers, family members, and neighbors.

On the other hand, engaging in good side effects help us to:

Spend time communicating with God to prepare for our daily lifestyle journeys (prayer, Bible study, worship time).

Take care of our daily needs so that we can serve others.

Maintain healthy lifestyles (balance: spirit, soul, and body).

Help us to maintain our sanity and healthier relationships.

Throughout our day let us remember to

“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves” (Philippians 2:3).
