2018 Luggage: Body

This year let us not get stuck on seeing and complaining about our body images dislikes.
Let this year’s body declarations revolve around self-acceptance in Christ. We are not saying that we do not need to maintain a healthy body image which means engaging in fitness activities, eating healthy meals, and speaking words that build up ours and others self-esteem in Christ.
This means accepting that we are to praise God “because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14 NIV). We are not to walk, act, and talk like our family members, co-workers, celebrities, mentors, or next-door neighbors.

Fredina Weems

Fredina J. Usher-Weems’ passion for the field of health and wellness began at the young age of 12, when neighborhood friends and family members declared her the fitness instructor at the daycare center her parents owned in Cleveland, Ohio.  Fredina states that “when the kids came in, we started our morning off doing laps, jumping jacks, and push-ups.”
